Frequently Asked Questions
How, when, where? So many questions arise when preparing a trip. Here we have some answers to your questions about Paris, our tours, strolls and services.
We have two type of dog friendly tours:
- Paris with "Bisou": Made for those that love dogs and wish to add the presence of our friendly Coton de Tulear during their stroll. You can make stops to play with her and get photos with her too.
- Paris with your Pup: If you're travelling with your pup we would love to show you the city making sure that your four-legged companion enjoys the stroll too. We will modify the walk so that your pup can sniff and meet other dogs (if he/she likes) while you enjoy exploring the most beautiful and interesting areas of Paris.
For extra fun both can be combined! 🐕🐩
If your tour has a precise starting location that is not walking distance from your hotel; then you have the following options depending on your budget:
€
Order an Uber Pets in advance (careful during rush hour this service may not be reliable)
€€
Hire our "Hotel Pick up by Guide" option at check out. With this service your guide will meet at any location in Paris and together you will make your way to the starting location of the itinerary using public transport. This option is perfect if you wish to learn how to use our public transport with your pup.
€€€
Send us a message (info@strollsparis.com) requesting for a Dog friendly private transport. We will help you arrange this in advance with a trusted transport partner.
Absolutely! StrollsParis is a family-friendly business, and we welcome guests of all ages, including children. Our dog-friendly tours are thoughtfully designed to be engaging and enjoyable for both adults and kids.
Our beloved dog Bisou - a Coton de Tulear - is a gentle and affectionate companion. This breed is known for being especially good with children, and Bisou is no exception. She loves greeting new friends with sweet little “kisses” and has a calm, friendly nature. If a child gets a bit too energetic, Bisou simply takes a step back and retreats behind her mom, Pamela, for a quick break.
Your family's safety and enjoyment are always our top priorities.
While it's perfectly safe for children to interact with Bisou, we kindly ask that parents supervise their little ones to ensure Bisou is treated with the gentleness she deserves. 🐶💜
Yes, absolutely—your dog is welcome to join us on the tour along with Bisou! 🐕🐩
Bisou is a calm and well-socialized Coton de Tulear who usually gets along well with other friendly dogs. If your dog is comfortable around other pups, we’re happy to have them both on the same tour.
If Bisou and your pup do not like each other (one never knows) Bisou will be carried in her backpack to avoid any issues.
We welcome dogs of all sizes on our tours! However, for safety and in accordance with French legislation, certain breeds classified as dangerous are unfortunately not permitted. These include:
Category 1: Pitbulls (American Staffordshire Terrier type not registered), Boerboels (Mastiff type), and unregistered Tosas.
Category 2: Registered American Staffordshire Terriers, Rottweilers (both registered and unregistered), and registered Tosas.
If your dog does not fall under these restricted categories, they are more than welcome to join—whether small, large, or in between.
That said, we kindly ask that you let us know in advance if your dog has any specific behaviors we should be aware of (such as reactivity or nervousness), or if they’ve never experienced a busy city environment with people, traffic, and other dogs. This helps us plan the most comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone on the tour—humans and pups alike!
It depends on the tour and your dog’s size.
If your tour involves any form of public transportation (like the metro or bus), French regulations require that dogs must either:
Be in a closed carrier bag (this applies to small dogs such as Chihuahuas, Yorkshires, or similar-sized breeds), or
Wear a muzzle if they are too large to fit in a small carrier.
We highly recommend that you always bring a muzzle for your dog so that you can have it in case of emergency.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask—we’re happy to help you prepare in advance! 🐶

Unfortunately, most monuments and museums in Paris do not allow dogs inside, so we make sure to share with you the most interesting information from the exterior of these landmarks.
However, if you'd like to take a quick visit inside of a monument on your own and your dog is comfortable staying with someone else, your guide will be happy to wait for you outside with your pup.
Your guide will let you know what are the most important things to see inside of the landmark and the story behind them for you not to miss a thing. 😉
If you let us know in advance we’ll do our best to adapt the experience to suit your interests and your dog’s comfort!
StrollsParis takes your pet’s safety and well-being seriously.
According to French law, anyone working professionally with domestic animals must hold a specific certification known as the ACACED (Attestation de Connaissances pour les Animaux de Compagnie d’Espèces Domestiques).
Pamela, the founder of StrollsParis and proud owner of our tour pup, Bisou, holds this official certification. She is currently the only guide on our team legally authorized to lead dog-friendly tours.
This ensures that every dog-friendly experience is led by someone who not only adores animals but also has the legal knowledge and training to work responsibly with them.
If you are booking a tour with your dog or with Bisou, please let us know in advance so we can ensure Pamela is available to guide you personally.
